This video’s message is very simple: DO or Die Early. The video is made to help Aboriginal women learn how to perform breast self-examination on themselves, It is also for health professionals both non-Native and Native to help teach the Native woman how to do the exam, and to show and have some compassion and to be patient.

The video has an all Native cast, made up of some breast cancer survivors all of whom dealt with the disease successfully, and introduces other knowledgeable guests. It features two Native women breast models, their main purpose is to show the breast self-exam on different sized breasts and the various methods. Graphic images of the different types of breast cancer surgery are also shown to let the women know that this can happen to them too if they don’t practice monthly.. breast self-examinations and have regular mammograms. The First Nations Breast Cancer Society is dedicated to getting the breast cancer education out to the Aboriginal women so that they don’t have to die needlessly due to the lack of education, It is our hope to save lives for generations to come.
